Solo Stroke?: Albert Hammond Jr.

Have no fear, the Strokes are still intact, but while you're waiting for their next album, try Albert Hammond Jr.'s solo album, Yours To Keep, scheduled to be released March 6th.

While you can pick out hints here and there of Strokes influence, Hammond's album loses a little of the heavier, faster overtones and adds some more melodious tinges, making the whole affair a little more poppier feeling. Musicians helping him out with guest appearances include Ben Kweller, Sean Lennon, and Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas.
