Hammer No More The Fingers

Here's a little sumthin'-sumthin' for your Friday night. It's coming from a Durham / Chapel Hill, NC band (which just seems to be a good music factory with all the talent coming out of the area) named Hammer No More the Fingers (talk about a mouthful). The trio just came together last December but have already put out their self-titled debut this last Wednesday.

The album gets to the point quick with its seven tracks, and the sound is a mix between Pavement (i.e. off-kilter notes here and then that shouldn't harmonize with what's going on but someone work anyway) and Weezer (here I'm thinking of the voice and style of Joe Hall - lead singer of the band). Listen to O.R.G.Y. below to see what I mean and then check out the rest of the album.

Thanks Albert, the info I found on them seemed to say Joe was. I appreciate the note.
