Love affairs

"We have raccoons sometimes in our chimney," explains Simone. "And once we tried to smoke them out. We lit a fire, knowing they were there, but we hoped that the smoke would cause them to scurry out the top and never come back. Instead, they caught on fire and came crashing down into our living room, all charred and in flames and running madly around until they dropped dead." Simone swallows some wine. "Love affairs are like that," she says. "They are all like that."

Love affairs are wayvbetterer than devotion or dedication. Way cooler to have some affairs on thw backburner. Then if one "burns out" you dont have to start from scratch... you just toss one to the dogs and continue on. =) yay for affairs.

The dangerous part of affairs is that sometimes they turn into something more. And then they're not so easy to "toss to the dogs."

Eh, that isn't so bad if you learn to multitask.... Everyone loves having options! Then you can have ample time to pick your favorite! It is a win all around! (well, maybe not for the losing lover, but that's just a minor detail. Lol)
