In this case, the album's being popped out by the above pictured trio known at Little Teeth., and while it doesn't weight in at 10 lbs., at times you'll think that Dannie Murrie, the group's lead singer, is giving birth because of some of the sounds she makes during its ten tracks. Accompanying her wild screams and eccentricities (even on the slow and "quiet" songs) are an aptly mixed bag of instruments including bluegrass mandolin, banjo, accordion, drums, and guitar. Put it all together and you get something like Jemina Pearl (lead singer of the late Be Your Own Pet) fronting Modest Mouse. Not exactly like that - but you get the picture.
Needless to say, the album goes off on some offbeat beats, with Dannie's voice continuously making sure that you're paying attention. Listen to the two tracks below to help you decide if you should get the album tomorrow, and then check them out on tour over the next two months.
