My First Earthquake

With song titles like Sack Lunch, Hot Girlfriend, and Cradle the Ladle, you might imagine that San Franciscoites My First Earthquake took the Peaches' name-your-song class. And while the foursome does exhibit some of the same electronic tendencies with their music and some of the same lyrical suggestiveness (although significantly toned down), by no means would I make an A = B formula between the two.

They've just put out their debut EP, aptly titled Tremors, and its six tracks go by quick. They're snappy, energetic, and just plain playful. Take a bite out of Sack Lunch below and then head over to the band's website where you can listen to the other five tracks from the EP.

Visit their website and become their friend on MySpace.
