Hailing from Athens, GA (home of former indie poster band turned uber-pop stars R.E.M.) fivesome Trances Arc is set to release their sophomore release titled Xoxox. The band got a big break earlier this year when uber-trendy coffee with too complicated of names purveyor Starbucks included their song Champagne Wishes (from their debut album Buona Fortuna where it is simply called Champagne) in a music compilation titled Off The Clock Vol. 1. Hopefully, this slice of success will springboard the new album (which is due out October 16th) into music playing devices everywhere over-priced coffee is sold. If it finds its way into yours, you'll need to dust off your air guitar and get ready to jam, as the album is definitely a guitar driven affair. The only other thing I can say about it is that it sort of reminds me of Cheap Trick (especially Eric Toledo's lead vocals), but maybe that's just me.
